cork bowl

Design Jasper Morrison, 2020
Pure untreated cork, lathe-turned
Made by Vitra

Turned from pure cork, the Cork Bowls have a characteristic surface pattern and are velvety to the touch. They are created from coarse-grain recycled cork with a surface marked by notches and color variations, highlighting the natural properties of this premium-grade material. Each Cork Bowl exhibits a lively, unique pattern. They join the rest of the Cork Family from Jasper Morrison, originally for Vitra in 2004.

Jasper Morrison's objects provide a quiet contrast to the creative exuberance of the Eighties. The visual restraint, high functionalism and constructive simplicity attract attention to his work.

Available in two sizes and can be used as a shallow bowl or tray. Cork is a renewable raw material that is consistent with Vitra's commitment to sustainability.
