Oblique captures the most contemporary conceptualization of the tradition of overlaying rugs. This proposal is achieved through the juxtaposition of oblique figures resulting in a geometric finesse, thanks to the different techniques used and the height of the pile, while providing monochromatic volumes to its surroundings. For the design of this collection, the British creator Matthew Hilton based the concept on the elegance of simplicity with sober graphics and colors that bring us closer to the earth.
Oblique rug is made from 100% hand-spun Afghan wool, which is hand knotted (Persian knot + Sumak). Custom sizes available on request.

Matthew Hilton works as an industrial designer as the Matthew Hilton Design Studio. His furniture is held in the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert, the Geffrye Museum, and the Manchester City Art Gallery.
