Virkelyst is a series of modern outdoor furniture with the seating comfort of indoor furniture. The simple wooden frame strikes a contrast with the thick, soft cushions. Able to withstand wind and weather, the upholstery fabrics are Oeko-Tex certified and extremely color and lightfast as well as water and dirt-repellent and even mildew-resistant. The cushion dries quickly even after heavy downpour, as the foam has an open-cell structure that allows both water and air to pass through.

Nikolaj Duve and Kasper Meldgaard gain inspiration from the Danish designers of the 1950s. Their style is present-day and thought through down to the smallest detail, although strongly rooted in the simplicity, minimalism and function of the Scandinavian design tradition. Skagerak FSC™-certified Teak comes from Brazil, Panama, Costa Rica and Indonesia. As the wood is untreated the surface will patina and change color over time into a beautiful silvery grey. To maintain untreated wood, it is a good idea to use sandpaper (grit 120-150) once or twice a year.
