Izar Dining Table
from De La Espada
izar dining table
Design Anthony Guerrée, 2022
Solid wood top & base, painted HDF accents
Made in Portugal by De La Espada
"I love to design a collection of furniture as one that tells a story, because each design has to be more than simply functional. My aim is to design furniture pieces that are the tangible, flawless result of the dynamics between tradition and innovation." - Anthony Guerrée
Inspired by the binary star in the northern constellation of Boötes, Izar is a sculptural dining table crafted in solid timber with details in satin matte or high gloss painted HDF. In an elegant encounter between two contrasting materials, Guerrée expresses his artistry by playing with the volume under the tabletop, adding two asymmetrical legs that give a rhythm to the whole.
Crafted at the solar-powered De La Espada factory in Portugal. Designed by a creative partner and rigorously engineered with the support of the De La Espada product development team and expert craftspeople. Durability, comfort and aesthetics combine for a product that lasts a lifetime. Timber is sustainable solid wood from North America or Europe, offering long-term repairability of the surface. Natural color and grain variations in every plank makes each piece an individual. Traditional wood joinery bonded with wood glue ensures structural integrity. All finishes are non-toxic and applied by hand, sprayed or rubbed.
Top and base are solid wood available in black walnut, white oak, or ash in a range of finishes. Accent pieces on base in painted HDF in a choice of the full range of colors with a satin matte or gloss finish.
