"Good design, like good painting, cooking, architecture or whatever you like, is a manifestation of the capacity of the human spirit to transcend its limitations." - George Nelson
Designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller in 1968, the striking Nelson Cube Sofa is a study in the dichotomy of hard and soft. Nelson paired an architectural wooden frame substantial enough to anchor any space and soft, tufted cushions that invite relaxation. Reintroduced in 2022 with new fabric options, Cube sits as beautifully in a lounge as it does in an office.
* Outer frame consists of exposed natural hardwood in either Oak, Walnut, or Ebony finishes
* Internal frame is steel reinforced solid hardwood
* Internal cushions are high resiliency foam
* Cushions are attached and swing outward for easy cleaning
* Tri-mitered edge detailing on frame
* Contrasting fabric panel under back cushions in Maharam Mode (intaglio) with buttons that match upholstery choice
* Similar products ordered in multiples or dissimilar products ordered separately should be expected to have variation in both grain and color characteristics; no two products will look exactly alike
80" Sofa - 81.5" w | 31.5" d | 27" h | seat: 15.5" h
92" Sofa - 92" w | 31.5" d | 27" h | seat: 15.5" h
