The design process was very much about tailoring; the quilted ribs are seemingly wrapped around the shape and enhance the dynamics of the pentagon. The quilting adds a softness to the seat, and the textiles we have chosen are very responsive to the undulating surface of the cover." -Anderssen & Voll
The Five Pouf is a versatile, easy-to-use design that is both comfortable and contemporary. With a pentagon shape and linear detailing contrasted against curved edges, the Five Pouf is a unique item that can be used as extra seating or to decorate an unused corner of any room.
Anderssen & Voll are two thirds of the former Norway Says and among the most prominent and successful Norwegian designers. They have formerly been named both Norwegian and Scandinavian designers of the year in Norway and have received international awards and recognition for their work with furniture, lighting, and home accessories.
The Five Pouf features a wood fiber and plastic blend that is injected into the mold, forming the chair's shell. The shell's inside is then upholstered with foam and fabric. The fabric is glued to the shell's surfaces and stapled using a pipe on the edges. Swivel piece is die casted aluminum. Swivel foot is casted in one piece.
