The Orla collection by Jasper Morrison tells the tale of the Orla project development reinventing the classic kidney bean sofa from the 50s. Curved and smooth lines stimulate interaction between users while the clean-cut appeal of its shape conveys a contemporary look inspired by organic design. According to the logic of modularity, the asymmetric shape of sofas and poufs provides countless different configurations. The upholstery foam undergoes meticulous processes of grinding and polishing to reach a continuous curvilinear shape. Cushions are removable.

The Orla collection consists of a three-seater sofa and two-seat sofa. Fixed cover for the base and removable coverings for the cushions available in all the fabrics and leathers of the collection. This padded and shaped Italian upholstery collection offers both classic design and contemporary design and is characterized by a thin shell that contains large and comfortable pillows. The sofa features composite rigid polyurethane elements in poplar plywood and elastic belts. The base is multi-density wooden conglomerate panels with black felt pads.

Born in London, Jasper Morrison studied design at the Royal College of Art and at the HdK in Berlin. Editor of the Design Year Book in 1999 with a passion for the history of design. Morrison's objects provide a quiet contrast to the creative exuberance of the Eighties. The visual restraint, high functionalism and constructive simplicity attract attention to his work.
