aava polypropylene chair with 4 leg base
from Arper - Sale
aava polypropylene chair with 4 leg base
Design Antti Kotilainen, 2015
Polypropylene, chromed steel base
Made in Italy by Arper
Aava transforms an essential and efficient form. Soft curves yield a contemporary silhouette that is both striking yet sensitive, an adaptive form that can speak or assimilate to any environment. Made for both residential and contract use, Aava's shell and base are fabricated in a diverse range of materials, colors and finishes.
A front face upholstery choice is offered for the chair, making seamless integration into any design project possible. Aava's line includes a plastic shell in a soft, elegant range of colors lending quiet sophistication to Aava's fluid lines. Aava can be specified in different configurations, which include wooden legs and a version with sled or chrome four-legs, available with or without armrests. Chrome four-leg and sled bases versions are stackable for large-scale use and storage. A stool version of Aava is also available in two heights (65 and 75 cm - 25 5/8" and 29 1/2"). A newly engineered stacking protection pad and linking system make Aava ideally suited for both large, dynamic commercial spaces and small impromptu gatherings alike while an additional desk tablet enhances Aava's functionality.
Aava polypropylene side chairs can be stacked 10 chairs high and up to 20 chairs with trolley. Armchairs can be stacked 10 chairs high and 14 with trolley. Aava chairs with front upholstery can only be stacked up to 6 chairs high with stacking protection pads. Indoor use only.

Arper's origins are of a leather workshop founded by Luigi Feltrin, the company President. His passion, supported by innovations from his sons Mauro and Claudio, give Arper their distinct place in the design world. The company's scale grew in the late 1990's when they began using new materials and technologies, as well as due to a collaboration with the firm Lievore Altherr Molina. Among the classics that came from this collaboration is the Catifa chairs, which are available in 5 different versions and have sold over a million units since 2001. Today, Arper's policy is focused on environmental quality and sustainability, while using low-emitting recyclables.
