The Capo Bed is an extension of the Capo series, its simple and modern form enriched with tailoring details that evoke old-world sensibilities. Capo began as a series of seating, initially designed for the Italian restaurant Capo in Shanghai, where the interior design concept was based on a basilica and possessed an old world charm of masonry enclosure appointed with handsomely crafted detailing. Capo is a well-balanced equilibrium between sophistication and utility, between classic and contemporary aesthetic.
De La Espada is a groundbreaking design management firm and leading modern woodworker with a dedicated factory in Portugal. Highly skilled craftspeople combine noble materials, traditional joinery, handcraft and advanced technology to realize each design to the highest standard. De La Espada puts the author at the forefront and values the modern artisan. They partner with designers who art direct, curate and design their own product lines, and support them through manufacture and distribution.
Neri&Hu's own product line, 'neri&hu', represents a different aesthetic that is rooted in cultural provocation. With an intention to question the potential in "Chinese design", neri&hu seeks to alternatives to the normative. Neri&Hu Design and Research Office, is an inter-disciplinary award-winning architectural design practice based in Shanghai, China. Founded by Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu, Neri&Hu works internationally providing architecture, interior, master planning, graphic, and product design services.
Available in American black walnut, American white oak, or European Ash in a range of finishes, and a range of fabrics. Bed base consists of several individual timber slats, set approximately 5cm (2") apart. Please note that when using leather to upholster the expansive surface of the headboard, De la Espada's craftspeople will use their discretion to ensure the natural variations in the hide's color and grain are most elegantly displayed. This may mean adding stitch lines to the headboard. Also available in King & California King size options. Assembly required. Mattress & bedding not included.
