Design, Nanna Ditzel for Kvadrat Textiles, 1965
70% new wool, 30% viscose - 100,000 Martindale

rami - HOFJ (F2)
Design, Eva Larsson for Ludvig-Svensson
80% wool, 20& ramie - 70,000 Martindale

Rami is the combination of the natural bast fibers wool and ramie. Ramie fibre is one of the oldest known natural fibers and has been found in the shrouds used to wrap Egyptian mummies. The plant, which has natural antibacterial and flame-retardant properties, is also known as China grass and is related to the nettle family. Both the ramie fibre and wool have excellent moisture-absorbing properties, particularly suitable for environments that are prone to static electricity problems. Mixing the matte wool yarn with the shimmering ramie fibre creates an exciting combination. The two different yarns result in an irregular surface full of slubs and tonal color variation which read as natural characteristic irregularities. The yarns absorb color dye differently, offering the fabric luster, depth and life. Any irregularities are a natural characteristic of the fabric.

Sunniva 3 is offered in thirty-five sophisticated colors. Alongside a wide selection of neutrals and basics is a warm group of soft browns and clay and brick tones as well as a cooler selection of greys and greens, ranging from light aqua to dark forest. divina 3 - HOFJ (F4)
Design, Finn Sködt for Kvadrat
100% new wool - 45,000 Martindale

Divina is a full-cloth product, which means that it is manufactured by weaving the yarn in a coarse linen hose casing, after which, it is subjected to mechanical processing using very high temperatures, at the same time as it is being colored. This creates a situation where the surface becomes smooth, directionless and uniform in a manner very similar to the properties of felt.
divina melange 3 - HOFJ (F4)
Design, Finn Sködt for Kvadrat
100% new wool - 45,000 Martindale

Divina Melange 3 is a vibrant piece-dyed woollen upholstery textile reminiscent of felt. Cheerfully simple, it comes in a fresh, versatile palette by artist and designer Finn Sködt. compact, comfortable and extremely smooth, Divina Melange 3 expresses colors and the shape of furniture particularly well. It is constructed by weaving the yarn in a simple binding after which it is subjected to pressure and high temperatures. this milling process, which is often associated with fine tailoring, transforms the material from coarse to a soft and uniform, felt-like surface. Produced by piece-dyeing a dark or light grey melange, the textile’s color palette perfectly reflects Finn Sködt’s pure aesthetic. The new color scale combines signature nuances, such as hot pink, forest green and Finn Sködt’s favorite ultramarine, together with chalky notes and neutral shades.

Sahco
25% cotton, 20% viscose, 20% polyacrylic, 20% new wool, 15% nylon - 70,000 Martindale

A curled bouclé fabric, Elle drapes and curves around furniture like an elegant designer coat. The spun bouclé yarn created by blending wool, viscose and acrylic gives the surface a soft tactility. During the subsequent dying the yarns take the color differently, creating captivating shifts within the same tones. This effect and a slight sheen from the acrylic blend bring life to the voluminous textured bouclé surface. Elegant neutrals range from oyster, coffee, pearl white, light ivory and caramel to cactus green, concrete grey, nutmeg, mud brown and ink. Taking cues from fashion, brighter contrast colors are sunset orange, rust, plum and aqua.
fuse - HOFJ (F4)
Design, Raf Simmons for Kvadrat
65% new wool, worsted, 23% cotton, 8% viscose, 4% nylon - 100,000 Martindale

The densely woven wool and cotton blend of Fuse creates a close pattern of ribbed stripes in which the weave creates rows of stitch-like patterning. Because the stripes of Fuse are fragmented rather than solid, the two colors in the textile meld, creating a subtle mid color when seen across a larger surface. This fusing of the colors mellows even apparently sharp combinations such as the autumnal orange on charcoal, or a zesty yellow on beige. It also brings complexity to combinations of forest greens or cream tones. The lighter colorways may include foreign fibers adding to its richness and vibrancy. While the color palette of Fuse relates strongly to those of Pulsar and Reflex, the almost blended colors of this stripe design allow for particularly rich color associations when used in combination with other textiles in the collection.
