divina 3 - Moroso (W)
Design, Finn Sködt for Kvadrat
100% new wool, 45,000 Martindale

Divina Melange 3 is a vibrant piece-dyed woollen upholstery textile reminiscent of felt. Cheerfully simple, it comes in a fresh, versatile palette by artist and designer Finn Sködt. Compact, comfortable and extremely smooth, Divina Melange 3 expresses colors and the shape of furniture particularly well. It is constructed by weaving the yarn in a simple binding after which it is subjected to pressure and high temperatures. This milling process, which is often associated with fine tailoring, transforms the material from coarse to a soft and uniform, felt-like surface. Produced by piece-dyeing a dark or light grey melange, the textile’s color palette perfectly reflects Finn Sködt’s pure aesthetic. The new color scale combines signature nuances, such as hot pink, forest green and Finn Sködt’s favorite ultramarine, together with chalky notes and neutral shades.
divina MD - Moroso (W)
Design, Finn Sködt for Kvadrat
100% new wool, 45,000 Martindale

Divina MD is an upholstery textile designed by Finn Sködt. Available in sophisticated, rich colors, which reveal hidden depths as the perspective of the viewer changes, it makes a strong color statement. In addition, thanks to its smooth, directionless and consistent surface, it complements the shape of furniture very well and is ideal for organically shaped furniture. Divina MD’s full-bodied and subtle structure is ideal for bringing an extensive range of tones to life. Its colorways, which are all crafted from a blend of different tones, appear unicolored from a distance, but reveal different color nuances under closer examination.

gentle 2 - Moroso (Z)
Design, Febrik for Kvadrat
60% new wool, 20% nylon, 20% polyester, 90,000 Martindale

Gentle 2 is the only knitted stretch velvet upholstery textile on the market. Designed by Febrik, it comes in a refreshed color scale and combines an inviting presence with a sumptuous, soft pile. The textile is constructed by knitting loops through a base layer and subsequently shearing the surface. Thanks to a subtly striated surface which derives from the naturally irregular thicknesses of the woollen yarns, Gentle 2 features a rich surface with an elegant shine. Gentle 2 has a particularly opulent feel as it is laminated onto a 2mm thick base foam. This ensures the textile stands out with a voluminous expression that sets it apart from traditional woven velvets.
baru - Moroso (Z)
Design, Sahco for Kvadrat
87% new wool, 10% polyester, 3% nylon, 65,000 Martindale

An ultra-soft woven woollen bouclé, Baru feels like shorn fleece and has a comforting volume created by the elasticity of the wool fibre and the finishing processes. Yarn dyed with one color in warp and another in weft, it has the benefits of a woollen textile but a softer feel. The texture of the bouclé coupled with a slight shine from the acrylic blend creates a playful effect as the color catches the light. Minimal contrasts in the yarns produce strong hues such as midnight, forest green, maroon and dark chocolate, while a darker base adds depth. Softer shades of snow, light grey, ash, camel, vanilla and moss green have a mélange effect from the contrasting base.
