The textile features a tight, minimalistic weave, and derives its lively color play from a combination of two different melange yarns, which each combine up to three hues.

design: Anne Birgitte Hansen for Kvadrat. 92% new wool worsted, 8% nylon. 80,000 Martindale. The melange yarns add depth to the look of Clara and combine to vibrant effect with the unicolor yarns. The fabric, which changes appearance according to the position of the viewer, projects a strong sense of volume and richness.

Particularly well-suited to large surfaces thanks to its pronounced structure, it features a soft weave and an expanded palette inspired by the landscapes of Skagen, Denmark. The melange yarn used to craft Canvas combines three colors, with six hues in every color-way. The textile offers exceptional color richness and an intriguing expression. From a distance, it has the calm surface of a unicolored textile. But, get closer, and shimmering color nuances, delicate contrasts and an elegant structure emerge.

The idea behind Molly was to create a basic textile using the yarn as its starting point. The textile is made from Norwegian worsted yarn. Naturally colored, it derives its appearance from the way the yarns are mixed.

re-wool (2)

design: Margrethe Odgaard. 45% recycled wool, 45% new wool worsted, 10% nylon. 100,000 martindale. Re-wool is a rich upholstery textile with a sustainable profile. The textile is partly made by reusing scraps from Kvadrat's yarn spinners in the UK. Reminiscent of colorful stitchings on a darker background, Re-wool features exceptional depth of color, creating a dynamic play on the textile's surface when applied to furniture.

70% wool, 30% viscose. Design: Nanna Ditzel for Kvadrat. 100,000 martindale. Hallingdal has become the archetype of woolen textiles. The very durable upholstery fabric was originally designed in 1965. Made of wool and viscose, which complement each other well: the wool provides excellent durability and flexibility, whilst the viscose adds brilliance and depth to the color. Both materials are dyed before they are spun, which highlights the rich texture of the fabric.

design: louise sigvardt & tone barnung. 92% new wool worsted, 8% nylon. 60,000 martindale. Fiord is a versatile woolen upholstery textile with a subtle three-dimensional look. The construction combines a melange yarn with a unicolored yarn that creates pearl-like dots that play across the textile's surface. This sophisticated expression reflects a key source of inspiration behind the design: moonlight glittering like pearls on the rippling waters of a Norwegian fjord.

100% new wool. 45,000 martindale. Design: Finn Skodt for Kvadrat fabrics. Divina Melange 3 is a vibrant piece-dyed woolen upholstery textile reminiscent of felt. Compact, comfortable and extremely smooth, Divina Melange 3 expresses colors and the shape of furniture particularly well. It is constructed by weaving the yarn in a simple binding after which it is subjected to pressure and high temperatures. This milling process, which is often associated with fine tailoring, transforms the material from coarse to a soft and uniform, felt-like surface.
