"...this collection challenges materiality and form in much the same way that I try to work within the architectural context." -David Adjaye

The Washington Collection for Knoll, David Adjaye's first collection of furniture, transforms his architectural and sculptural vision into accessible objects for the home and office. The collection consists of two cantilevered side chairs, a club chair, an ottoman, a side table and a monumental coffee table.

David Adjaye OBE is recognized as one of the leading architects of his generation. Adjaye was born in Tanzania to Ghanaian parents and his influences range from contemporary art, music and science to African art forms and the civic life of cities. In 1994 he set up his first office, where his ingenious use of materials and his sculptural ability established him as an architect with an artist's sensibility and vision.

The Washington Corona Coffee Table reflects David Adjaye's architectural and sculptural vision on a new scale. The table is constructed from four die-cast aluminum panels, connected by aluminum connector plates and stainless steel hardware. The interior of the panels are finished in a smooth gloss black or white powder coat paint, contrasting the matte textured black or white powder coat paint exterior. The glass top is .5" thick optically clear glass with a jewel-polished, chamfered edge. Please call the hive showroom with any questions: 1-866-663-4483.
