emeco superlight chair

From one of the most celebrated architects comes the Superlight chair. Tested to carry 750 pounds, it only weighs 6.5 pounds. The brushed/anodized shell and frame are connected by a hinge, allowing them to flex independently and move with the sitter. Superlight won the 2004 "Good Design" Award and was one of Architectural Record Magazine's top products of 2004. Can be used indoors or out.

Frank Gehry has single-handedly changed conventional ideas about architecture. Recent masterpieces include the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and the Disney Concert hall in Los Angeles. Gehry's unique vision and innovative use of materials has brought him numerous honors. Through his emphasis on collaboration in the creative process, Gehry continues to transcend the boundaries of design.

The Superlight chair conforms to the body as it gently rocks back and forth. The ingenious construction features a light shell that is connected to the frame by hinge allowing energy to flow throughout the chair. Superlight is offered in brushed aluminum and includes soft plastic (TPU) glides.
