emeco parrish table

"Emeco is simply the only company I could think of who could bring a nice mix for this interior concept, specialists in aluminum, delivering another kind of material appearance, environmentally sound, perfect for both indoor and outdoor and being such a truly American company - it was a perfect match." -Konstantin Grcic

The Parrish Collection is designed by Konstantin Grcic for the Parrish Art Museum in New York. The modest museum building holds an internal complexity, just like the Parrish Collection, subtle design combined with a heartfelt technical core. A family of chairs and tables the collection's underside "heart" was designed specifically for Parrish to interconnect the elements of the chair to form a strong, integral anatomy.

The new Parrish Art Museum opened in November, 2012 in Water Mill on Long Island, and has been acclaimed for the barnlike building designed by Herzog and de Meuron and the elegantly minimal interiors and furniture designed by German designer Konstantin Grcic.

Konstantin Grcic was born in Munich, Germany in 1965. After training as a cabinet maker at Parnham College in England he studied design at the Royal College of Art in London from 1988-1990. Konstantin Grcic creates industrial products widely described as pared down, simple, minimalist. What sets him apart from the minimalism in fashionable currency today is that he defines function in human terms, combining maximum formal strictness with considerable mental acuity and humor.

The Parrish tables are available with in a variety of size and finish options. Anodized aluminum & Accoya wood top tables are suitable for use indoors or outdoors. Laminate top tables have an exposed plywood edge.
