graves mantel clock pendulum

Mantel clock has been created by Michael Graves. A small, domestic work of architecture in wood, the Mantel clock is made entirely by hand and fascinates with its many construction details. The designer investigated the long tradition of conceiving objects in terms of architecture, as if they were miniature architectural creations. A clock as a work of architecture, the pendulum clock features maple-veneered wood and quartz movement.

Born in Indianapolis, Michael Graves has taught architecture in Princeton since 1962. His architectural works include the Portland Building and the Humana Building, the extension of the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Newark Museum. He created the best-selling 9093 kettle for Alessi.
