In 2003, Seyhan and Sefer founded Autoban, an interior design and product studio that has been gaining widespread recognition and receiving design awards around the world. Hailing from Istanbul, Autoban has a wealth of culture from which to draw a unique aesthetic language. They use raw materials to create sleek, modern designs with varied cultural and historic elements with a splash of whimsy. Founders Seyhan Özdemir and Sefer Çaglar find their core inspiration in nature, daily rituals, childhood memories and the city in which they live.
Available in stainless steel or gold-plated steel. Gold plating is 24 karat. Recommended bulb is crown mirrored bulb E27, maximum 60W. A classic E27 halogen bulb may be used if you are unable to obtain a crown-mirrored bulb, making the shadow effect less pronounced. Bulb not included. Spider can be used on the wall or ceiling. The lamp has a power cable 3 metres (9'9") in length with a dimmer switch. If preferred, an electrician could alternatively hardwire the lamp to a junction box.
