miura stool

"The Miura stool is strongly based on principles of construction. However, its shape was conceived by working in a much more sculptural manner. The complex free-form surfaces were all designed on the computer." -Konstantin Grcic

Miura's name originates from a spanish bull family which was also used to name Lamborghini cars. It has a dynamic expression, as if it is almost in movement. Miura is ergonomically designed for seat and leg comfort.

Konstantin Grcic trained as a cabinet maker at Parnham College in England and studied design at the Royal College of Art in London. Since setting up his own practice, Konstantin Grcic Industrial Design (KGID), in Munich in 1991 he has developed furniture, products and lighting for leading design companies. Many of his products have received international design awards and form part of the permanent collections of the world's most prestigious museums.
