The GAN round Trama rug was inspired by traditional crochet rugs. Its pattern in light gray tones, on a black base, is made using the hand-tufted technique. As a peculiarity, this crochet-style pattern has a greater pile height, which provides a striking sensation of three-dimensionality.
Designed by Valencian studio Odosdesign, Trama is made using 100% virgin wool, so it is a very soft rug to the touch and under bare feet. Although its attractive design stands out on its own, Trama can also be used as a complement to a round table. It is available in two diameter options.
Hand-tufting is a manual rug-making method in which a special handheld tool shoots and cuts a portion of wool following a pattern over a stretched cotton fabric. This technique offers great freedom in terms of designs, thicknesses, finishes and colors. With it, GAN makes possible the impossible.
