waan rug

Born from an experimental process, the Waan collection masks, behind its apparent simplicity, a novel textile technique. This type of hand-woven fabric is the result of the work and research of Dutch designer Dienke Dekker. The collection also includes a series of poufs and cushions, accented with fringed edges.

The Waan collection is made with an illusory fabric that simulates a knotted surface. This perception, however, is just an optical effect, since the rug is made on a loom using very thick bicolor yarns, made with two wool threads of contrasting color braided in a spiral. When woven on a loom, these yarns look like a succession of knots. Available in three sizes.
