Based on a design from the 1950's by the company's founder, Lucian Ercolani, the Saddle stool provides a timeless simple elegance. Made by Ercolani in their factory in Buckinghamshire from ash wood, it can be finished in one of their environmentally friendly water based stains or a selection of paint finishes.
A feature of this stool is the classic Windsor wedge joint, where the leg of the chair goes right through the seat; a wedge is then inserted into a cut in the leg, forming a remarkably strong joint. Sanded off flush with the seat, the joint then provides a beautiful design element. The Saddle stool can be specified in your choice of a range of lacquer finishes or in a choice of painted color finishes, which protects the timber as well as fitting in with your style and decor.
