In celebration of their 60th anniversary, Knoll introduced the Maya Lin collection. As her first furniture for production, Stones was part of "the earth is (not) flat" collection. Reflecting the artist's ongoing exploration of the relationship betweeen humans and the earth. Stones offers a low, monolithic ellipse of colored polyethylene as sculpture. Each piece has the simple, elliptical shapes and subtle curves that appear in much of the artist's oeuvre.
The Stones collection is available as a child's seat, adult seat and coffee table, in your choice of colors. Seat tops are slightly concave. The seat cushion is 2.25" thick foam with tapered edge and fully upholstered on top and bottom. For indoor use. Available with or without weight. Stones with seat cushions are not recommended for outdoor use.
