Base High Table adds a new perspective through its aluminum frame and scaled-down proportions, referencing iconic Scandinavian design. The design harks back to the essence of a table, bringing a light and simple expression to any space while serving as the ideal hot desk, bar table or counter.
Studio Tolvanen is the product design studio of Mika & Julie Tolvanen. Mika is a Finnish designer who started his own practice after graduating from Royal College of Art in 2001 and Julie is an American designer who spent 10 years as a woodworker before moving to Finland in 2009 to get a master's degree in furniture design. Studio Tolvanen was founded in 2015, designing products for residential and contract use from their studio and workshop on the island of Lauttasaari outside of Helsinki.
The Base High table is made from extruded aluminum with an extra durable acrylic paint. Table top in either furniture board with laminate surface and ABS edges or table top in plywood with linoleum surface. Offered in different size and finish options.
