screw stool

Inspired by the materials and processes employed during the Industrial Revolution, Screw is made from a cast iron tripod base, updated with a wider footprint for added stability. The thread, now in steel, allows for multiple heights by simply spinning the top. Suitable for outdoor and indoor use. Also available as a table with various tops.

The tripod base is made from sand cast iron. The process involves compacting sand into a casting box around a tool which is carefully removed by hand. Liquid iron is poured into the cavity to form the shape. Once solidified, it is machined and hand polished to create the black powder coated finish.
