In this collection, Vroonland combines the bold character of the chopping block with a keen eye for detail and smooth finished edges. The collection consists of the Butcher Table, Butcher Stool and Butcher Bench.
Dutch designer Sjoerd Vroonland has translated Linteloo's feel-good factor and passion for food into the Butcher collection. "Think of an artisan baker, or the butchers of the past," he says. "They were real craftsmen who made high-quality products with lots of love and attention. I've brought the same passion and attention to detail to the Butcher collection for Linteloo as these butchers and bakers. Also the details of their high quality tools as a baking tray or a chopping block inspired me." -Sjoerd Vroonland
The Bruno cutting boards feature Pinewood endgrain 'Butcher' style construction in two pieces creating a small space for housing kitchen knives. The cutting boards can be pulled apart and contain plastic connection sliders. They are finished with medical oil. Please note: hairline cracks, knots and naturally occurring discolorations are characteristics of solid wood. The cutting board is available in a round or square shape.

In 1994, more than fifteen years before trend forecaster Lidewij Edelkoort declared "wellbeing" one of the most important international trends, Jan te Linteloo started a brand that radiates "enjoying the good life" in every possible way. Raised by parents who owned a furniture store in The Netherlands, he had noticed the domination of minimalism in the early nineties. British and Italian design gurus were promoting an anonimous, almost sterile interior style in which practically anything personal should be hidden in cupboards, and anything "comfortable" was expelled to the bedroom.
