Design Matthew Hilton
Black anodized aluminum or brass
Made in Portugal by De La Espada

Niterói was named after the Niterói Contemporary Art Museum in Brazil designed by Oscar Niemeyer, which possesses a visual paradox of weight and levity. Matthew Hilton was moved by the beauty of this building on a trip to Brazil, the shape of the pendants of his lamp echoing the shape of the building.

Designed as a hanging sculpture, Niterói has maximum visual interest and careful consideration of engineering and performance. This 8 pendant round Niteroi chandelier is decorative and elegant, with a pin point of light contained in the anodized aluminum drops. The light can be used on its own, or clustered in numbers.

Precision-engineered solid aluminum components are machined on a CNC in the United Kingdom. The aluminum is anodized to increase resistance to corrosion. Every visible part of the light is specially designed and manufactured for maximum beauty. Every replaceable part, such as LEDs and transformers, are standard for simple maintenance. Each pendant, milled from a solid billet of aluminum, contains an LED light, which can be easily replaced at the end of its long life.

Designed with the user in mind, Niterói features intuitive installation. Each loom is numbered for location and simply attaches to the ceiling rose. Niteroi has a pre-determined cable length relationship with a maximum cable length of 300cm. Cables can be cut to the preferred overall length.

Niteroi is offered in black anodized aluminum, or uncoated naval brass polished or brushed with a matching round ceiling canopy. LED light source. The LED color temperature is 3000K, and each LED is 96 lumens, equivalent to approximately 9.6 watts.

Note: Each manufacturing batch of LEDs is subject to minute variation in color temperature. The color temperatures listed are for guidance & show the average to which batches are produced. Where more than one LED is used within the same unit, the LEDs will always be from the same batch for consistency. However, where more than one unit is specified for a project, it is essential to indicate such at time of order to ensure all LEDs across the units come from the same batch. If lamps are ordered on separate dates, we cannot guarantee that the LED color temperature will match across the lamps ordered.
