Design Erik Ole Jorgensen, 1975
Beech, oak or walnut legs, cold cured polyurethane foam, upholstery
Made in Denmark by Erik Jorgensen

Few pieces of furniture are as elegant and dignified as Erik Jorgensen's classic EJ315 collection. Baroque bourgeois or straight-laced formality? The EJ315 collection definitely divides opinion. Decadent in black leather or seriously sassy in white? Conventional in textile upholstery? Uber-modern in denim? This versatile collection is like a chameleon, and it's up to you to dial the expression up or down.

Erik Ole Jorgensen was a trained upholsterer. He had a real flair for the tactile qualities of textiles and furniture, and in the 1940s he worked for the legendary designer Kaare Klint for a number of years. Erik Ole Jorgensen's style is simple and functional and positions him as one of the finest Danish furniture designers of his time. He took part in exhibitions all over the world and received several awards for his carefully designed furniture.

EJ315 collection features cold cured polyurethane foam covered in your choice of fabric or leather upholstery. The legs can be specified in beech, oak or walnut with a lacquered, oiled, stained or untreated finish. Configurations online will have matching buttons, but they may also be specified in a different fabric than the upholstery. Please call the hive showroom with any questions: 1-866-663-4483.

The Erik Jorgensen story begins in the town of Svendborg on the southern coast of the Danish island of Funen. Erik Jorgensen delivers furniture to countries all over the world, and the brand is associated with a sound aesthetic that is more than a passing fad. An aesthetic that rests on tradition and craftsmanship, but which is also nurtured by innovative furniture designs by both young and more established designers.
