A contemporary interpretation of the classic Adirondack chair, this low-slung bench by Konstantin Grcic is made from wood planks angled to support a reclining posture. Suitable alone or gathered together in small groups, the bench uses a thermo-oiled ash finish to seal the wood and keep it moisture resistant.

Medici's design is a love song to the material, the machinery, and the craftsmen integral to the woodworking process. Says Grcic, "I like the idea of wood cut into planks, which is how it is processed in the first place: the tree sliced into planks."
Hence the gorgeous geometry of Medici's wood planks, which converge at angles both conducive to reclining and pleasing to the eye. The Medici bench is offered in thermo-oiled ash that stands up to the elements and makes it perfect for gardens, porches, and patios.
