ej123 toward sofa

Toward is a comfortable sofa that allows the user to lounge in multiple ways. By merging the normal use of an armchair, a chaise longue and a tete-a-tete, the design emerged. Toward is a base with a mattress and two back rests in different sizes. The two loose and interchangeable cushions further opens up for a versatile appearance and function. To achieve a unique product with high aesthetics, a lot of consideration went into combining the color nuances and texture of the textiles chosen. The sofa comes in five color combinations: light gray, dark gray and brown, pink and dark blue shades with shoes in solid brass or aluminum. Every color combination consists of 6 different color nuances and textures from Kvadrat Textiles.

Architect Anne Boysen (1980) won the 2011 Erik Jørgensen Design Award for her daybed Senecio and her bold approach to design. The Award turned out to be the beginning of an exciting cooperation with Erik Jorgensen. Anne Boysen has her own studio and works as both an artist and designer.

Toward features solid oak legs with "shoes" in solid brass or aluminum. The cushions are cold cured foam with fiber cotton and upholstered in five color combinations. Please call the hive showroom with any questions: 1-866-663-4483.
