celata basket

Celata basket was designed by Giulio Iacchetti. He was inspired by a part on the medieval knights helmets. The sallet ('celata' in Italian) protected their faces but enabled them to see out: the basket, created from a piece of cut sheet metal reproduces the parts of this sallet, alternating large expanses of material with voids, and revealing games of lights and shadows.
