The Calamo desk, as well as being a useful place to write and work, continued to be an object of fascination. In this project Gabriele Rosa tried to transform the object with reference to the modern-day concept of home-office, making it lighter, more agile and versatile: an essential element of furniture, both in function and appearance, something that could fit anywhere in the home.

Calamo features a varnished steel frame and top in black, chrome or graphite. The top and storage pocket is in cowhide pigmento 90. The pocket, realized entirely in cowhide, could be used to hold a modern tablet, keys and coins, or even a fountain pen and a diary, for more nostalgic users.
