Bilia table lamp, now offered by Fontana Arte, was originally designed in 1931 by Gio Ponti. The construction methods and details of this lamp keep with the design theories of Ponti's work. Bilia features a brushed nickel-plated metal frame and a satin blown white glass diffuser, providing diffused light. A classic and elegant lamp that provides a warm glow to any space.

Born in Milan in 1891, Gio Ponti obtained his degree in architecture from the "Politecnico" University of Milan. In 1926 he founded the magazine "Domus" and thanks to this magazine that he lead until his death in 1979, he was able to cultivate relationships with the worlds most important architects and designers such as Charles Eames and Tapio Wirkkala. In 1931 he artistically lead the Luigi Fontana Company and, along with Pietro Chiesa, founded FontanaArte. He has taught at the "Politecnico" University of Milan. His achievements and in particular his educational path lead him to receive various awards including the Golden Compass.
