The Case Study Alpine Bed with its simple and fluid lines of molded layered wood has proven itself to be an instant classic. The bed is designed to be broken-down into eight simple parts. Each part of the bed is engineered to contribute to the overall strength and stability of the frame. With fewer pieces to assemble and no joinery in the critical weight-bearing areas, the bed demonstrates a remarkable overall sturdiness and durability.

All parts, including the headboard and legs, are constructed of sixteen layers of North American Maple with the top and bottom veneer made of North American walnut or ash veneer. The headboard is angled to give support and comfort while reading or watching television and the curved rails at the foot of the bed keeps the mattress securely in place.
