The Sleek and unique Biknit Lounge provides superior comfort and elegant lines true to Urquiola's style. The Lounge features a heat-treated Ash wood frame with a natural finish. Offered in both indoor & outdoor versions. The upholstery for the outdoor version is polyester/PVC knit over polyethylene down core; the indoor version is wool knit over polyurethane core. Both version are woven on a tubular steel frame with a powder-coated finish.

Born in Oviedo, Patricia Urquiola attended the Madrid Polytechnic and the Milan Polytechnic Universities where she graduated in 1989 with Achille Castiglioni as her supervisor of whom she was assistant at the Milan Polytechnic from 1990 to 1992. She has worked with many great talents and a plethora of companies worldwide. This brilliant Spanish architect is a phenomenon not to be lost sight of.

Patricia Urquiola

Born in Oviedo, Patricia Urquiola attended the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Madrid, where she graduated in 1989 having completed a thesis with Achille Castiglioni. From 1990 to 1992, she was assistant lecturer on his courses. Between 1990 and 1996, she worked with Vico Magistretti for the new product development office of De Padova and signed the products: “Flower,” “Loom sofa,” “Chaise,” and “Chaise Longue.”
Agostino Moroso, with his wife, Diana, founded the Moroso company in 1952 with an artisanal approach to making sofas, armchairs and furnishing accessories. Their iconic designs have propelled them within the upholstered furniture market, with help from a long list of well known designers: Ron Arad, Patricia Urquiola, Ross Lovegrove, Konstantin Grcic, Alfredo Häberli, Toshiyuki Kita, Marcel Wanders and others. Each piece maintains a noticeable Moroso style while representing other cultures as well. Its international outlook has landed Moroso into the MoMA in New York, Le Palais de Tokyo, the Grand Palais in Paris.
