French designer Patrick Norguet is close to the fashion world while still being involved in industrial and interior design, dedicating himself to creating great exhibitions. He belongs to a generation which is making known the "French touch" on the International stage. With his designs he perfectly interprets Cappellini's theory of the union between fashion and design, projecting items of great presence for both sectors, working for innovation but keeping the greatest simplicity.

Patrick Norguet

Patrick Norguet (b. 1969) was educated at the Superior School of Industrial Design in Paris, where he is still based, and is fast becoming a noted name in his field. He has collaborated with Louis Vuitton as a decorator, designing concepts for display windows and events. He more recently designed the showrooms for Renault Cars in Paris and Tokyo and has designed furniture pieces for Cappellini and Artifort. In Paris, where McDonald’s restaurants can often have lavish modern interiors, Norguet has designed many, proving that he can adapt and create something unique in almost any surrounding. Today he creates products for Cappellini, Fasem, Poltrona Frau, Lapalma, Offecct, Crassevig, GlasItalia, Flaminia, Thonnet Vienna, Modus, Watsberg, Artifort, and Accor.
Born into a family of furniture manufacturers, Giulio Cappellini began working for the family company in 1979, after earning his degree in architecture and studying business management. By the early 1980’s, Guilio’s leadership brought the Cappellini company into the world market from its three decade run as a handicraft furniture business. Hoping to expand the styles and materials used, Guilio scouted designers, bringing Jasper Morrison, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Marcel Wanders, Marc Newson, and Tom Dixon into the fold. Now, the firm boasts a varied, comprehensive collection rather than a singular style. Still, there are common threads: refined simplicity, dynamism, liveliness, humor.
