The Frame collection is characterized by PVC covered polyester mesh, with a structure in extruded aluminum and stove enameled die casting components. Compromised of an array of products, each designed differently to combine comfort and function, Frame is a successful collection which over the years has become an icon for other collections.

The products of the Frame collection express a light but accurate symbol represented by a selection of comfortable chairs varying in shapes and sizes. Rollingframe chairs can enhance the more private dimensions of the home office to the executive office with unrestricted elegance, from the meeting room to the operative offices. Swivel base supports an ergonomic seat upholstered in PVC covered polyester mesh (offered online), fabric or leather. The option of the 'plus' version is a slightly wider, taller and more comfortable alternative.

Rollingframe + task chairs are height adjustable with soft castors and 5-star swivel base. The aluminum structure is offered with a stove enameled, polished or chromed finish and upholstered in your choice of upholstery options.

Alberto Meda

Alberto Meda (b. 1945) of Lenno, Italy studied Mechanical Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano. From 1973 he was the technical manager of Kartell, in charge of the development of projects of furniture and plastic laboratory equipments. Alberto Meda came to design from engineering, bringing with him a pragmatic mind, and an attention to details as well as formal concerns. His applied-science background gave Meda the recognizable stamp of elegant simplicity, in designs that are at once modern in form and organic in feel. His work caught the eye of Rolf Fehlbaum, the chairman of the Swiss manufacturer Vitra, who commissioned the Italian engineer to design a chair, and beginning a collaboration that continues to this day.

Technological lightness, versatility, innovation. Since 1979 these have been the overriding values of Alias, one of the most consolidated names of Italian design.
