In 1958, the office of Charles and Ray Eames designed a table with a single segmented base, constructed of modular units, that could support tops of different lengths and widths. The strength and versatility of the lean and simple base design made it possible to produce tables in a wide range of sizes.
For over 40 years, the tables designed by Charles and Ray Eames have brought refinement to places where people get together. With their range of shapes, finishes, and sizes, Eames tables remain a popular choice for those who appreciate durability and performance, as well as simple beauty.
With a grand sense of adventure, Charles and Ray Eames turned their curiosity and boundless enthusiasm into creations that established them as a truly great husband-and-wife design team. Like all fine works of art, Eames tables have the strength and durability to provide reliable performance for decades to come. The rectangular table is offered with your choice of column and base finish. Laminate and veneer tops are 1 1/4" thick. Thin profile HPL tops are 1/2" thick. Glass tops are back-painted, with a satin etch finish to reduce the appearance of fingerprints. Tops up to 42"×78" are 1/2" thick; tops 42"×84" to 60"×120" are 3/8" thick with a Formcoat® substructure. Laminate tops have matching vinyl edge finish. Veneer tops have matching veneer edge. Thin profile HPL tops have black edge. Tables are offered with adjustable glides. Optional center cutout grommet & casters (wheels) are also available (please call to specify). Please note: larger sized tables may be in two pieces which will have a visible seam.

Eames
The primary need of the human being was an essential component of every design for Eames. They believed a design to be successful when it catered to how people are similar to one another instead of addressing idiosyncrasies, benefitting the greatest number of people.
